RISE & THRIVE

Every chapter in this book ended with a short Your Rise exercise, something you could stop and answer before moving on. This section brings all twenty-five of those moments together, along with the final Time to Thrive exercise, and gives you more room to work through them.

How to use this workbook

You do not need to start at the beginning, and you do not need to complete every page. Start with the question that feels most relevant to where you are now. You might work through one or two spreads and leave the rest alone. You might come back months from now and find that a question you skipped the first time is suddenly important. Both are useful ways to use this section.

If you can, write your answers by hand. There is no magic in the pen itself. It just tends to slow the thinking down enough to notice what you might otherwise rush past.

Take your time where it matters. Skip what does not. Come back when your circumstances change, because they will.

My Partner Loves a Chatbot

Chapters wrap up with a "Try This" box, one page, one question, meant to be answered in a minute or two before moving on. This part takes twelve of those moments and gives them real room.

How to use this workbook

You don't need to work through this in order, and you don't need to work through all of it. Some readers will use one or two spreads that speak directly to where they are right now. Others will come back to this section months from now, once the shock has worn off and the slower work is what's left. Both are the right way to use it.

Each spread starts with a short recap of the chapter it belongs to, then a small number of real prompts, from a specific, named framework you've already read about, attributed to the same researchers and clinicians cited in that chapter. Write by hand if you can. It tends to slow the thinking down in a useful way.
